| Dog must be on leash at all times. Limited access areas ONLY allow dogs that are under EFFECTIVE voice or noise (like a whistle) control by owners or guardians. Control must be immediate and effective. | |
| Dog owners or guardians must carry dog defecation removal devices AT ALL TIMES and are responsible for removal of all defection of their animal. | |
| Owners of off-leash dogs in Lighthouse Field are responsible for damage to the field, damage to the field restoration project or landscape destruction. Failure to control dogs resulting in said problems may require the owner to replace or repair damaged property, or reimburse the city of Santa Cruz for damage. | |
| Any violation of these regulations will subject the owner to citation. |
