When my dog Bohdan tore his ACL in July of 2001 the best resource that I found on the internet was a group called Orthodogs. They cover all sorts of orthopedic issues, but by far the largest set of questions and support came from people whose dogs were suffering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
If your dog has been diagnosed with a torn ACL you should check out the orthodogs group on yahoo groups.
