well it has been a very long time since i have posted. we have just been going along with our lives. walking now and then when it hasn't been raining too hard and trying to come up with ways for bohdan to get more exercise meet more dogs and behave himself. talk about a challenge.

on new years day we took a short stroll through the neighborhood. when we were a block or so from our home, we hit a 4 way intersection with two big dogs
barking at eachother from opposite corners and us on a third.

i didn't take him today and it looks like i should have, we will walk a bit and see if he will loosen up.

it looks like he needs to go back, something in his hip or low back is bugging him, but I am not sure if I should wait to see if it will work itself out. his muslces are tense and a bit knotted not sure if I should take him this week or not.

thinking i will wait another week, just to see.

well we went to the chiro today and it was a painful visit.
he growled at her as she adjusted his low back and his right shoulder corresponding to the foot that hurts, she agreed that the problem is probably nerve. he is walking better but sore. we went on a short walk before getting into the car and going home. hopefully we will make it 4 weeks before going back.

we have been alternating with the e-collar and a bandae over the past few days, he seems to be walking better but is still wanting to chew on it whenever he can get to it. the sore is getting better, and he is putting weight on it. someone on one of my lists suggested that it might be from nerve pain so i am giving him arnica and hypericum to help deal with that. we also have an appointment with the chiropractor, but not until next week.

i have upped his vitamin c's

oh and he is wanting to go on his walks again, but i am not ready for him to be doing that.

bohdan has been chewing on his foot. i thought it was just a little itchiness, but
it has turned out to be an obsession. he has a huge hole in his foot, and he wont put weight on it. there is nothing stuck in it. i have decided to bandage his foot to keep it clean and him from chewing on it more.

not sure what the vet will tell me, so we aren't going. i have done all that they will do. still i am worried.

whoop! there he is. going back in the kitchen.

what could possibly be happening in the kitchen to get bohdan's attention away from the big-ass marrow bone he's chewing on in the living room?

well karine is in there, and she opened up the thing of hotdog buns. she tried to keep it quiet but it made a rustly noise and bohdan came running - as he always does for the sound of bread.

i took bohdan to fort funston this afternoon for a walk. we went along the same loop as our previous walks. i am not sure what was bothering him. bohdan started laying down about half way around the loop. he had said hi to a few dogs and some were obviously not going to say hello.

a beagle approached us and barked in his face. then we continued our walk.

bohdan has been running and playing and body slamming with trillian and on saturday he looked like he had thrown out his back. so we went off to the chiropractor. His pelvis was rotated and afterward he seemed to be relieved but in pain.

it has only been 4 weeks since our last appointment, i had hoped we would make it 5 weeks. hopefully next time.
